Real World Experience with Life Changing Results
What are high school students that you know going to be doing this summer?Washington Business Week Programs (not a magazine) are held in the summer for a full week on college campuses around the state. The programs teach high school students about their role in the business world. No matter what their career choice is, Business Week's experimental learning model engages and advances their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. In addition to the regular Business Week Program, special pathway programs are available in Healthcare, Energy, Manufacturing and Agriculture.
It is an amazing opportunity for students to explore potential careers. For instance, students and volunteer business leaders are immersed in discussions, role-playing exercises, lectures, and computer based business simulation. They work in groups that present a realistic picture of the business world. Add in a good amount of fun, critical thinking, innovation, a chance to explore a college campus, and earn two college level credits and it's a winning combination! For more information, check out our programs at http://www.wbw.org/.
And the winners are... Tanner Perry from Snohomish High School and Kendall Todd from Odessa. Read full story
