WHO WE ARE

We are an organization of dairy women dedicated to reminding consumers of the goodness of dairy products through sales promotions, public relations and educational programs.

The objectives of the Washington State Dairy Women are Dairy Industry Promotion and the DairyAmbassador Program.Promotional activities are conducted in county units throughout the state.As you will see from the list of activities occurring in each county or region, the Dairy Women and the DairyAmbassador are dedicated to achieving our goal.Each county/region raises their own funds to operate theirambassador program and community service activities.The county units are reaching the public with dairy industry promotional information in spite of dwindling numbers and limited funds.The DairyAmbassador Program is vital to our promotional goals.TheAmbassador Committee, comprised of three women selected from the north, south and east portions of the state, oversees theAmbassador Program.The President and the Vice President also sit on this committee in an advisory capacity.

As the "Washington State Dairy Ambassador", the StateAmbassador travels extensively throughout our state giving educational presentations at schools, community service organizations and other groups.The StateAmbassador addresses the House of Representatives and the Senate on behalf of the industry at the annual Dairy Day at the Legislature.Washington Interscholastic Activities Association is a very successful partnership, at which the state and countyAmbassadors attend the championship events to hand out promotional items and to present the awards to the athletes.Each countyambassador serves a one-year reign representing the dairy farmers in their county/region through educational presentations and attending local community events.At the end of her county reign, she then competes for the title of Washington State DairyAmbassador.

Washington State Dairy Women are committed to strengthening the dairy industry by communicating a positive image of the industry to our communities.
